Signal bars
I was just curious.....do the signal bars mean a whole lot? My phone with Verizon will show anywhere between 0-4 bars for 1X and same for EV but the calls seems to always be clear.
I have heard that any technician will tell you that the signal bars do not indicate the clarity of the call.

Since I got my PDA, I don't even pay attention how many bars I have. In fact, I have never lost signal with it. 😳 Even down by the Reservoir where you're not even SUPPOSED to have coverage.

Probably more so with GSM then CDMA. On a Verizon phone the IX or EV icon represents bar 1 or 5 bars. I've been able to make calls in the back of Walmarts with no bars, except for the 1X showing and the call is still clear. If it say No Signal, then you can't make calls.
