I'm up for a new phone around Father's Day. Want a new one....but...should I hang on to my LG 8300 for a while longer cause some really cool new phones are right around the bend later this summer? What would you do?

If you wait for the newest and latest...you will always be waiting...

Yeah that's definitely true. I want to upgrade to the enV (NE2 is almost ready), but I've been waiting to see if they'll be releasing an upgraded version of the enV. I got the VX8000 when it came out, and less than six months later, they came out with the VX8100 that had Bluetooth and memory card slot, was thinner, etc.
So even after it's time for me to upgrade, I want to wait a bit to see if an upgraded model will arrive.
But with all the new stuff thats coming out, I'll probably be waiting another year before I find the phone I want. So yeah sometimes it's best to wait, but technology just keeps improving too fast to keep up with everything, unless you're willing to pay the big $ for all new phones.

And that's why Phone Scoop is so useful: You always know what new phones are on the horizon.

Personally, I don't care about the "latest" or "newest" phone. I just look for one that is feature packed and at a good price.
I just bought my Samsung i730 a month ago!

Why would you want it? It's barely any different than the 6700. I'd recommend the new Samsung i760, as it's Rev A, WM6 preinstalled, much smaller than the 6800, and cooler looking. Plus, there is a 12 key keypad on the front.

How are you up for a new phone if you have an 8300, they haven't been out for 2 years?

The only thing that is better is a 9400 and if you dont have Mobile TV in your area... no point in wasting an upgrade. I'd wait, there is an 8350 coming and an 8550.
