Carrier Adds

Just curious if everyone saw that Verizon added 1.7 Million customers during the past quarter while Cingular, Sprint, AT&T, and Nextel all added only a little over 1.8 Million combined! So I wonder how long until Verizon regains the number one spot.

I'd say that number was BS. Where exactly are those published numbers?

Don't you guys get competitor info after every quarter?

Total adds by company:

VZW - 1.7 MILLION
Cingular - 657,000
ATT - 170,000
Sprint - 429,000
Nextel - 550,000

So from Cingular ATT Sprint and Nextel that would be 1.806 million adds to VZW's 1.7 million

gee... if you guys "lost credibility" everytime you were wrong, you'd be out of business...

However, I won't be bothered with vzw's REPORTED numbers...

I'll be bothered in 2 years if Cingular isn't number one STILL.

Cain, sometimes I believe that if your own CEO came out and said something positive about VZW you would tell him to his face that he's full of crap...why is it everything that a VZW employee says is BS? No matter how many people verify it...Not all VZW reps are evil..most actually care enough to give out up to date and accurate information...And you can not sit there and tell me that there are no Cingular employees out there that spout off lies in order to make a sale either...

well...
according to your own numbers...
VZW had an opportunity to lie to 1.7 million customers last quarter... so let's say that 25 percent were based on lies...
cingular added 637,000 and will say that cingular lies about the same amount...

VZW lies told= 437,000
cingular lies told= 159,250

And I've spoken with Stan several times... he has the same outlook as i do... "Let them underestimate us... it's more fun that way".

Its very disturbing that as a rep for Cingular, you just admitted that Cingular LIES to its customers in order to sell them service and phones. Yeah, a great start for the "new # 1" Shame on Cingular......

🙄

i never said they did... i would say that they don't.
But i was giving the benefit of the doubt for people who say "you mean cingular doesn't lie".

The point WAS even IFFFFFFFF Cingular lies as much as verizon, then VZW lied their asses off alot more....just based on the number of customers you get.

Your failed attempt to say that I "admit" cingular lies is a joke..

OMG w/e dude! Contracts end every day! People wait until their contracts are up to switch! Also think of the people who ported from VZW... most will be coming back! 🙂 VZW has nothing to worry about. Don't forget the migration between Cing and ATT.. it won't go smooth, people WILL leave and they will leave for a company that's not going thru such growing pains.

listen dork...you dont know how the migration will go. i don't even know. so lets just wait on that. as for people porting back to vz, don't count on it. a few may, but the majority will be switched to other carriers except vz. the reason for this is that Cingular, T-Mobile, Nextel, and Sprint is everywhere. vz stores are miles apart!! the Dealers will convince the customer to switch to another carrier except vz.
