Just got ours in, Honestly I dont think its as bad as everybody is saying, true the screen is a little smaller, but the resolution is the same and its still just clear, the phone looks a lot better to me, the speaker phone is nice and loud, earpiece sounds great. The only think that I think stinks about it is there is still not a memory card slot aand the camera was downgraded. Other then that I think the phone is pretty solid

In my opinion, it does look a little better, but come on..the type V is far superior as far as quality. If the camera was the same and it had EVDO, that would bring it closer to where it should be.

Only thing that I can't stand about the V is the mobile web problem. Other than that, I love being able to talk and text while in the shower 😎

Who cares about the camera quality and V Cast? Honestly, the majority of people that will buy this phone are the construction workers or auto mechanics that buy new phones 5 times per year to replace broken phones. The purpose of the phone is to be a tough phone, not to be feature rich. If anything, I think people will be happier with the newer model because it will be less expensive.

agreed! This phone isnt really targeted towards kids who want vcast music and video games (Vcast is overpriced crap anyway...). I think the phone will do fine and fits the needs of its target market.

Nothing much. I just moved, and I'm waiting for the gas guy to turn on my gas so I can take a shower with hot water before going to work.

Things are going well. You guys require a ton of paperwork so it's a little bit frustrating remembering everything sometimes. I'm getting used to it though.

It was crazy. We ran out of LG and V3 chargers on the first day. We're still getting a ton of people in the store because of it.

True, most people who want this phone dont care about the extra features, but my point was it isn't really an upgrade, just another version. And when I said that EVDO was a bad thing to leave out, i wasn't referring to vcast, cause I could care less about that, but rather broadband access.

my first thoughts of type s is i like it alot better. i believe it feels more durable, the display is just fine, and like the keypad better than type v. i believe this phone is an upgrade in some sense because of the specific customers that are going to appreciate a durable phone and not features such as vcast. such as farmers and const. worker. jmho. think it will sell just fine. already got four sold today. 🙂

It really is not that bad at all, I like the size, no bumper, "internal" antenna (kinda), the only thing that the V has over the S is the better camera quality.

But its just as durable of phone and has bluetooth.

Its still missing the memory card (my biggest complaint).

Im not sure why it has 2 speaker phone buttons, one on the out side and one inside, you cant answer the phone with it closed so the outside one is really pointeless

Its actually about the same as the V, they are both very good, pretty clear as well, in my opnion its better then my 8300s as far as clarity goes
