Bluetooth
anyone know of any new verizone phone that will have bluetooth...i have been waiting forever for a bluetooth phone on verizon (besides the 710)

Nope! I might be wrong but I have'nt heard anything, besides the V710, that's the only bluetooth out there you can get from VZW.

As of yet. We have at least one phone (LG 8000) and one PDA/Phone (yet to be officially named) coming out soon. Wish I could tell you more, but I don't know more than that. I'm on the don't need to know basis, as are most VZW employees. In fact, I would know more from reading in this forum than I would from anything I hear at work. It just happens I ran into one of our local gadget testers who has some of them before they're approved for the market. but still, I know nothing.

the next bluetooth devices that verizon will be offering will be 2 PDA phones that are scheduled to be released this December. The HTC Herrier and Vivida which are not here on phonescoop yet but they both will have bluetooth, cameras and speakerphone. The Herrier will be Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 and will also be out first device to have built in Broadband (EV-DO) access and the Vivida will be Microsoft Mobile Smartphone 2003 but will be limited to National Access speeds (1x-RTT). Pricing is not known yet. The LG-VX8000 will not have Bluetooth but it will be the first non-pda phone to have broadband access.
