at&t switchover credit/rebate?
was in vzw store today, and salesperson said if i switched my service to verizon from att, i would get 50 dollars ... any idea if this is instant (off phone purchase) or a credit to account?

Verizon Wireless does not pay consumers to switch/port from another carrier.
If this Sales Representative was offering you an incentive to switch, then it would be on his own accord and you would have to get back in contact with him/her for clarification.
It sounds to me as if there may have been miscommunication? There are usually $50 rebates on most phones VZW offers.
