I currently have a Samsung Sync on Cingular which has a Mobile E-Mail Java program that let me set up my Hotmail, AOL/AIM, and Yahoo e-mail accounts. The program then notifies me automatically if any new e-mail message is received by any of my 3 accounts and lets me retrieve it. It works flawlessly (although Cingular itself has other issues). Other than Blackberry, does Verizon offer a similar program for Hotmail, AOL/AIM, and Yahoo accounts?

Alot of VCast phones have a Wireless Sync Program for $19.99 a month, + the cost of Mob Web $5 or VCast With Mob Web $15.
...
I've never used Wireless Sync, but why is it $20 a month? Is it some sort of advanced e-mail client or something on the phone? How is it compared to Mobile Web E-mail?
...
Wireless Sync Handset is the same kind of Client found on PDA used by verizon. You use Wirelesssync.vzw.com to setup. It checks your e-mail on a time interval or whenever if you manually sync. It does not sync calendar or contacts though.
$19.99 + $5 Mob Web or $15 VCast Sends the e-mail to your phone, doesn't have to be hotmail, AOL, Yahoo, can be any imap, pop3.
$5 mob web or $15 VCast check your email by going to the web site and logging in

LordObento, don't know if this is ONLY J2ME, but try this on your phone. Mobile url is wap.wm5.mobi then go to apps>email viewer>E-mail Viewer>download>and set up the account. I did see VZW there.
...
However, you can't have the free version of Hotmail or Yahoo, you have to get the version that charges an annual fee.

Thanks. I just found that out at a VZW demo. That sucks, VZW blocks alot of url's.
...
Go to Google mobile first and search everything from Google and you can go to any url you want to.

You can access the url, but VZW doesn't allow certain functions due to BREW and limited Windows OS. I've tried using wap.vm5.mobi on both smart devices and the regular phone wap browser. Doesn't support, due to most J2ME support.

I know what you mean. I switched to G-Mail to get an G-Mail app on my phone. Googl is great. I can open up files, forward, etc. just as if I were on a computer.
