is it true you can't use verizon internet service while on extended network? I have an audiovox thera and live and work in extended network, I moved from the state I set up service in and there is no local service here just extended. when I spoke to verizon about setting up data they said it would not work in extended. just want some confirmation on this or wether it is possible. thanks!

I'm not sure which internet service you mean. I've used the Quick2Net service before and it did work on the extended network. Basically anywhere there was a digital signal it worked. The Quick2Net comes with the mobile office kit and it's basically like near dial-up speed. The faster Express Network requires the Verizon Wireless network.

I think what you are referring to is Mobile Web that sometimes does not work in an extended Newtork, ie. I live in an extended network now and my Mobile Web doesnt work....

I'm talking about the service that you use through your phone on to a laptop or other computer. I guess that person asking the question could be talking about mobile web. I'm not sure.

Eplanation for the other person. Mobile Web is the feature that is only on your phone. It costs you $4.99 a month and also uses your plan minutes. Mobile web 1.0 really kind of sucks. The new 2.0 which is on a few newer phones is a little better. You can't do normal web browsing with it though. Mobile web may or may not work on the extended network.

The other thing I was talking about works with the mobile office kit and hooks your phone up to a computer. You can surf the internet with that, and it should work on the extended network.

I don't think so. Quick2Net only uses voice minutes I believe. If you have the unlimited data package ($79.99) you could use the express network though. It is a little faster speeds. It however, will only work on the Verizon network.
