Quick Question, I am guessing nobody knows but it doesn't hurt to ask.
Will the new 9900 coming out fix a couple of the original 9900 shortcomings?
Bluetooth 2.0 maybe this time?

I haven't heard anything except a possible TV capability. I'd think the 2 MP pics thing is a network issue: they don't want people sending large photos and jamming the network.

The new software flash allows 2mp pix! According to the LG rep the new one will have open Bluetooth as well. (you still can't send pix over bluetooth to another phone)

When you mean the "new one" are you referring to the upcoming Orange enV or the next generation enV (maybe called VX9950 or VX10,000)?
But also, for it to have a different version of Bluetooth, doesn't LG need to have FCC approval for it? Or would that simply be a software adjustment to allow for more profiles?

Do you know what all extra profiles? And also do you know if there'll be any other colors other than the orange one that'll have the update (meaning the current silver one or any future upcoming colors)?

Almost a full profile. You are suppose to transfer contacts through bluetooth to other phones. As far as I know the only things you can't transfer are pix and flix to other phones. But you can transfer them to a computer. Songs too!

i took a picture with my SLVR L7 at work so the quality sucks, but you can see what color orange it is. it's actually really nice in person.
