Bluetooth

Just got a new cd player for my car that has bluetooth capability. I'm a Verizon customer and am about to get a new phone/contract. However, I've heard that Verizon "waters down" their products. Does this apply to the bluetooth? One feature I really want to use is to transfer my phone book to the head unit? Will I be able to do this with Verizon? Which phones?

none of verizons phones have "full Bluetooth" but transferring your contacts is not a feature they block so that should work alright.

If "Full Bluetooth" means having all of the Bluetooth profiles, you won't see that in a handset, like the profiles that allow connecting a keyboard, personal area networking, etc.

Some LG models allow BT printing. The Maxx Ve opens up most of the profiles we were supposed to have in 2004, like file transfer from (and to) another device.
