simple things on bberry 8830...
like ringtones, etc.....the ringtones that comes with are horrible and you can barely hear it.
i had the original V and when that thing vibrated, you knew! on the 8830, I barely know when someone calls me or txts me.
does anyone know how i can download trutones? where do i go to mess with the phone ring(vibrate, volume, trutones)?

you go to profiles > select and scroll down to advanced. Then you highlight the one you want to edit and press the menu--on the left of trackball--and choose edit from the menu. then you mess with the different types of notifications. The roxio media manager, which it seems is used to create ringotnes, is the reason the BB desktop manager is in the hundreds of MB. As far as creating the ringtones and sycning them to the device you're on your own...i'm sure there is a help file included in the S/W tho

you can also download packaged ringtones from a website like handango.com or vzw.com/pda...nothing impressive though
