Hey just wondering how many of you out there are seriously considering getting the palm treo 755p when it hopefully drops for verizon in July.

There is a good chance that I will pull the trigger on the 755p. I don't currently care for anything verizon has to offer and even though I stated I think it looks boring, I have already changed my mind. 🙂 Now if the Curve hits around Oct, I will ebay that treo in about 2 seconds 🙂

yeah, i always forget about ebay/craigslist, it really makes paying full retail a little more tolerable.

Im intrigued by the 755p and so far the reviews have been solid from sprint users, so hopefully it will be good on verizon as well.

You should like it if you are into Palm OS. I didn't like it much when I had my 650, but when I switched to the Samsung i730 w/ Windows Mobile 5, I found that Windows is much much better than Palm.

well you have to analyze the elements in this equation to figure this one out. Lets see...people who buy treo's this day in age are previous treo users in its majority hence the treo 600days...most 600 users upgraded to 650 then to 700. Now with that being said...most treo users have the 700 as of now...treo users are fairly bright in demographics so im assuming they know that the 700p and the 755p are completely identical only variance being the missing antenna mini sd. being bright i doubt they would pay an additional $500 to simply have their antenna removed and now having to buy another sd card since its mini now. Now there were stragglers who didnt really appreciate the evdo revolution and saw the 650-700 jump minute. So there are some...

I think he has a 650. I used to have a 650 for a little bit and I hated it. Have the Samsung i730 now and I could not love it more. 🙂

I think the Treos with out the antennas are ugly.

When I can no longer hang on to my i730 (and I mean "can" as in not able to) I would get a Treo only if:

  • They made the screen much bigger.
  • They gave it all the features of my i730, including a remote control and DUN out-of-the-box.
  • Made the thing lighter and thinner.
  • Made the reception equal that of my i730.
