Wasn't Verizon supposed to get a CDMA version of the LG KE850 as well?

Verizon is not going to release one phone that can be called an iphone killer rather a few phones that together will win over alot of customers. The first touchscreen smartphone is the HTC Vogue which is the CDMA version of the GSM HTC Touch. The LG KS20 which will be renamed by Verizon is the sequel to the Prada or KE850. It will not run the UI on the Prada, instead it will run Windows Mobile 6. Other phones coming are the LG Chocolate 2, which is pretty sleek and better than the first. The Chocolate 2 seems to be flying under the radar. I haven't heard too much talk about it. We all know how well Verizon sold the first Chocolate. Then there's the Moto Razr2 which is a flip phone with a HUGE outside screen and touch sensitive outside mp3 but...

Simple... there is no Touchscreen phone coming. Verizon's position is We have 3G phones that have 4GB MicroSD Card that can over the air download songs, access youtube videos and cost $250 ($99.99 + $149.99 4GB card) which is 1/2 of the cost of a 4GB iphone. The new phones will be just the q9m and the LG 8550.

The New Chocolate has alot of open BT profiles, you still wont be able to trade ringtones/games though. If you're getting a PDA and need more then the 4GB per a month/Slingplayer thing, best stick with Sprint.

Of course there is a touchscreen coming. At some point. Will it be tomorrow? Of course not. I'm sure Verizon is gonna sit back and watch the playout of the iPhone for a bit. And they're smart to do that. But if you're saying Verizon will never release a touchscreen, I think you're wrong. That's what all the manufacturers will start looking at now, if they have any sense. At least for a while. That's what the consumers want, or think they want, right now, and the manufacturers are going to listen to a certain extent.

Dude, you're making it seem like they're just now thinking about making touchscreen phones when in fact they're being released later this year. The HTC Touch(CONFIRMED), LG KS20(IN TESTING BY VERIZON) and others.

well the question isnt really verizon or sprint per se..since their both really the same when it comes to phones...its really cdma vs gsm...so what ever verizon gets sprint gets vice versa...and so far cdma isnt really coming with anything strong.

Sorry, my previous post came through chopped up:

I meant to say:

Ummmm SORRY but I was merely pointing out that such a phone "concept exists and if Verizon or someone wanted to produce such an iPhone killer, the groundwork has already been laid with the Prada Phone.
Besides, I wouldn't buy anything with that stupid Prada name anyway....lol
