I really love Verizon's services, but I hate their phones. It always seems that they are a step behind on the phone technology! Why can't they come out with cool phones like AT&T???? I know that the iPhone has a lot of downs to it, but it is a frickin' cool phone! It is a relatively small phone that looks sleek and different. Other services always have newer and better phones before Verizon. Why is that? If Verizon wants to keep and impress its customers, I think that they should get on the ball with the phones. I keep asking sales associates and they give me the excuse that their Verizon Live TV is coming soon and some really cool phones will be coming. Well for one, I am not going to want to watch TV on my phone, and two what is taking so ...

hmmm? not sure i am following your complaint I really think they have a solid line up right now, what do you need in a phone.. Plus they have a few pda on the horizon, razr 2, the moto slider tv phone, new chocolates and a few things we probably are not aware of

yea I guess that's true, but I just wish they would come out with something on the level of the iPhone. Maybe I can explain myself a little better. The iPhone is a huge milestone in cell phone history. When the sidekick came out it was a huge mile stone. When has Verizon come out with a phone that made a huge milestone in cell phone history? I mean they do have good phones, but it always takes them twice as long to come out with them as other services. I hope that the phones to come will be impressive. Not that I am going to leave Verizon, but I really want a phone like the iPhone! I love the touch technology!

there's always going to be something different and 'better' over there. You could say that if you were with any of the carriers. I don't know some of the new innovated phones seem to stay with a specific carrier. I think the sidekick would sell like hot cakes on anyone's network, same with the iphone. Its a biz decision, and whether its in verizon's favor or not its just the way it goes. We do have some nice phones, but i'll agree that the current models don't do much for me. The Env is probably the nicest for me, but i have a 9800 and the differences aren't enough to drop the money. the xv6800 should be out somewhat soon for us, and that looks real nice

I think VZW is focusing on offering PHONES and not a PDA/camera/portable web browsing device/music player that, by the way, can also make phone calls. Sure, they have devices that have those capabilities, but I think the primary purpose of most of VZW's cell PHONES is to make PHONE calls. This shows in the voice quality of most of the offerings and the overall voice quality on the majority of the network.
Why is it this argument comes up at least once a month? Sure, Verizon may not have the newest "gadget phone", but I think the primary concern should be call clarity/quality, not feature set. Yes, my phone (I have the Slvr) has a camera, yes it might be capable of playing music, but my primary concern was call clarity and quality, f...

The iphone is not revolutionary, slow internet and a million other issues i am not going to relist. It is cool but not revolutionary, maybe the next one will be. Many of the windows phones offer more at less $. The only thing the iphone is bringing is the browser(which is great but takes 2 minutes to load a page) and the touch screen, which maybe more of a hassle once the novalty wears off. I am much more interested in teh 6800 and the htc than the iphone.

Number one, mobile tv is out. Not in all areas, but it's still out. That's not affecting what phones Verizon carries, except adding in additional handsets.
I agree with you the iPhone "looks" nice. Are there going to be MAJOR issues with it? Of course there are. Apple has never even made a phone. As for why Verizon doesn't have a comparable phone out yet... Does anyone in the US? No. Are they all trying to frantically get one released. I'm sure. So, if you want a "cooler" phone, sure you can go to AT&T or T-Mobile, I guess, if that's worth it to you. All areas are different, but you chose Verizon for a reason, and I'm assuming you're happy with the service. So you go to AT&T and get an iPhone... Well, it's not gonna do you muc...
