Actually, most Verizon phones don't have the red bars on them. There was a short time where most of them did, but those days are gone as of about a year ago (when the LG VX8300 was released). Motorola phones still have the red bars, but the other manufacturers have been using custom flash themes on their phones. There are still some phones that have the red bars as the default, but most of them don't.

Because LG cares more about their phones so they take the time to customize the UI.

Dispite what some people think, VZW doesnt get the phones from the manufacturer and load their own softwear on it, they come from the manufacturer with it.. the reason moto phones dont work well with it is because moto doesnt take the time to make it work.
