At first I was dissapointed by the feel of the black laminated keys, but the build is awesome, solid and does not need a case. The black rubberized case hasn't shown 1 scratch since April when I got it. The solid hinge with the autofucus is a first for RAZR.

Hold it next to a V3/c/m/xx and you will be comparing plastic against magnesium and hardened glass. I love my Maxx. The V9m has WAY too many tradeoffs to get 2 or 3mm thinner.
