phone insurance

Can insurance be added to your plan at any time? I just upgraded my 2 year contract, and I did not get insurance. I'm just thinking that it'd probably be a good idea because I have the new chocolate.

I love the phone, I think it's great. Everything is completely fine with it. It's just very delicate and I'm concerned about repair costs if something should break (I know the slider and navigation wheel would be very costly to fix!!!)

So my questions:
How much is insurance every month?
Can it be added to my plan at any time?

Thanks! 😎

Insurance is $5 a month with a $50 deductable per instance (up to 2 within a 12 month period)

Insurance can only be added within the first 15 days after a phone is activated.

After the first 15 days you can contact Lockline/Asurion directly to see what they can do for you to get your equipment insured. If nothing else go put a rider on your homeowners, only costs me $10-$20 a year with no deductible!

so manufacturer warranty won't cover a slider that gets loose after a while? they won't even replace it with a refurb?

maybe i need to rethink this whole slider phone option if this is going to likely be an inevitable problem.

Nah, that should be covered by manfacturer's warranty as long as you didn't cause it like snapping the phone in half. Within 1 year it should be free replacement after 1 year it's $50.
