Can anyone tell me some secrets or some good advice with how to get in with Verizon? I have been in the cell phone industry for a little more then a year selling sprint, while I was working for sprint I was pursueing VZW. I quit my job right before a job fair I had heard about, the job fair got moved 2 times so I was jobless for 3 months. During the 3 months I tried to drop resumes off, applied numerous times on the website, showed interest at actual stores etc. The job fair finally came and I never heard back from them. I want this job more then anything right now and I know I would be an asset to the company HOW DO I GET "IN" ????????

I sent this to another guy too:

I was hired in at sales and I was only 20 at the time with about 1 yr experience. The major thing is persistancy. You really have to show the company that you are agressive and that you want to make yourself money and you want to make VZW money. Keep calling or going into the store that you would like to work for. Make sure you apply online or with the 1800 # first, but go in and introduce yourself to the manager. Plant that seed and stay PERSISTANT. During the interview, make sure you say key words like PROACTIVE, READY FOR ANY KIND OF CHANGE, CONSISTANCY, AGGRESSIVENESS. Beleive me, those are the words that will get you in. Its not an easy job to get but if your qualified, then you will get it. Best...

to clarify my statement above it is very easy to make 50-60 a year if you work in a good location and put alittle effort in it. as far a getting in its like any other sales position, its all about your personality. you can be the smartest person on the block, but if you lack a good open personality then you will more then likely not get hired and if you do you won't last long. obviously previous sales experience helps and a certain amount of cold calling experience helps too. good luck 😉

I'm 23, been with the company a little over 3 years. Made no less than 35k the first year and have never slowed down. I'm also a 30 hour a week employee since I go to school also. Benefits are great. Already over 10k in 401k invested in only 3 years!!! I'm still working on my degree, so anyone who tells you to look elsewhere doesn't know what they're talking about. Great company to work for but competition is becoming ridiculous. I agree with the guy who said be determined. Meet the manager everytime you go in there and be as interactive with him as possible. Just let him/her know that you would love to work there and if he/she has an opening to let you know! Good luck with it, but keep in mind, the pay is ridiculously good so EVERYONE tries...
