Has anyone heard anything about a release date for the HTC XV-6800 for Verizon? It's the equivalent of the Sprint PPC-6800 and I had read somewhere July 18th but I cannot find the link now.

Here is a link to a very detailed review of the phone on www.pdaphonehome.com

Thanks in advance for any information you might have.

I'd like to hear the differences between Sprint released version, and what Verizon expects to release. Will there be greater memory etc in the Verizon release?

I just spoke with a contact I have at Verizon corporate and was assured that the 6800 will finally be available by the end of September. Apparently there were issues with FCC licensing. I was also promised uploads around 500-700K/sec with downloads topping 2 megs/sec. I was promised an email as soon as an official release date is available. I will post once I hear something.

Jesus Christ where the **** did you hear that? FCC licensing for strictly VZW's version!? C'mon...you're smarter than that.

Don't believe him/her.

Anyways I've heard it's coming at the end of Sept. for B2B/Online. 🤤

Take a pill, dude. 😳 I am simply documenting what I was told. IMO, the delayed release is more likely related to Verizon's marketing strategy rather than any FCC issues.

I hope Verizon is not taking longer because they are crippling it's innate features and capabilities.
