Speakerphone Echo/Feedback Issues on Samsung U540?

Hey all. I've had my Samsung u540 for about a week now, and I LOVE it, except for one annoying thing... about 1 out of every 3 calls where I use speakerphone, the person I'm talking to on the other end complains of excessive echo and feedback, to the point where I have to turn speakerphone OFF (the problem is bad even with speaker on low).

Anyone else encounter the same issue? On the other 2 out of 3 calls, there is literally no problem.

I do realize that echo cancellation measures/software are not perfect, and you will prolly get occasional echo/feedback with almost any speakerphone... my old Nokia 6256's speakerphone would do the same thing. But it would happen less often.

I do have what I believe is latest version of the u540 sof...

I looked at it. Nice phone, EXCELLENT speakerphone, but it was just a little too big/tanky, and couldn't do speaker with the phone closed.

If the LG 8350 comes out before my 30 days is up, I'll take a look at it too and might possibly switch. But overall, I really like the Sammy 540, 'cept for the one issue I mentioned.
