I played with an iPhone over the weekend
My girlfriend's brother got one for his "business" although he really probably got it because he's a snob and needs all the latest and greatest stuff. Anyway, most of I noticed had already been talked about. These are the things worth noting (in my opinion):
The screen is pretty amazing even when it's grimy.
The internet service really is painfully slow. It's like a moderate dial up internet connection. There must be a cache in the phone because pages that you had already been to loaded up pretty quickly, but new pages took quite a while. The zoom/auto-focus feature was really cool.
The thing that really got me that I haven't seen anyone mention is the full screen aspect. I hadn't been able to figure out how Apple managed to...

I thought typing on the phone was damn near impossible! I've played with atleast 3 different units and I was making a ton of mistakes...im a pretty heavy texter, so this phone would prolly drive me nuts!
Other than that, the screen is pretty amazing and I like the interface. It just pisses me off that they left so much off this phone. The phone is pretty amazing, but take off the touch screen and what do you really have? Too many cons, and I think other manufacturers are going to catch up fast.

I have pretty big hands...and I do 5000 sms a month. Impossible to type a WORD!!! let alone an email...
I thought the screen was great too. I didn't see the issue you brought up with flipping the phone around...must have missed that. Internet speed wasn't great either.

Yeah, that would be messy, lotion all over the touch screen, plus streaming porn would be SLOOOOWWWWWW on Cingys data network. Nothing worse then being all lubed up and nothing to watch. 👿
