Basically, there's a (good) policy over at HoFo that states that phone threads should be on the phone forums, not the General Verizon forum. And they're very religious about locking phone threads in the General forum.
All good so far. Then, someone posted a thread about ETF policy in the General forum... not a phone thread, if you bother to read it.
Despite this, 'Moderator HF9 Cylon dork' comes along, locks the thread (mistakenly IMO) and posts a notice to 'keep all phone discussions in the phone forums'. Hmm, okay, whatever.
But, to my surprise, I can still post ...

thats pretty lame you got banned...hofo is a little too strict for me, but I do think that eric and rich could be a little more strict on this website...sometimes it gets a little outta control on these forums

Yeah, its kinda sad. The bad HoFo mod (HF9) went running to a 'rules' forum after my ban (that no one's posted to in over a year) and posted a new rule against 'avoiding the ETF' threads, after the fact... I guess to justify himself. The guy seems like an amateur.
Far as Rich and Eric go, yeah, they could lay the smackhammer down a bit more on personal attacks and trolling, but overall I like their more reasonable, polite style of modding. If Rich or Eric ban you, you probably deser...

I got a 3 day ban on HoFo when I typed the word b**ch, and when I posted, the word was completely in astericks. I edited it and a few hours later, Moderator 19 made a notation at the bottom of my posting to not bypass the swear filter, and put full astericks back over the word b**ch. I put the word in place because I was describing a ringtone I custom made from the Meridith Brooks song B**ch.

I have to agree, the Mods at HoFo are pricks....i've been banned a few times for a few days cuz i posted about LG phones in the VZW forum not specifically under a LG thread. I tried to complain and ask for someone in charge or a supervisor and the mod said, he was in charge. What are we to do? Does anybody know wo runs HOFO, i want to complain real bad and take this as far as possible. Someone needs to start another cell forum site and i hope HOFO disappears forever.
