Business Plan

My brother informed me today that he is thinking of switching from Sprint to Verizon. We have a business plan, with 7 total lines, and our bill is about 180.00 a month for all 7 lines and unlimited text messaging on just my line and 4500.00 minutes total.

I was wondering for those with access...what would a plan similar cost at verizon for all 7 lines and unlimited text. I saw a plan for 4000 minutes and unlimited text for 169.99....but does that include just the 1 line? How much is each additional line? I saw that includes unlimited messaging also.

Finally...id wanna get that LG8700, is that a good phone? I have the LG Fusic at Sprint and I love it!!

Thanks

Just did a quick input into the business plan tool, you can get 7 lines, that share a bucket of 4350 minutes with unlimited n/w for $364.93 minus your 6% small business discount for a total of $343.03, this is before tax and before you add text/pix messaging.

Or you could do 3950 minutes for $324.23 before tax and messaging.

Or might be a little cheaper to just do a family share plan with like 4 on one account and 3 on another and like 2100 minutes each or something.

Yeah, I was thinking about that too, didnt want to do the math on the possibilities though, plus you would have to decide what phone uses what minutes and try to split them up accordingly, such as if two phones use 1500 minutes each, and the others hardly use any or whatever the case may be.

We hardly ever sell business plans. They are so expensive and complicated.

so basically stay with sprint then? Our bill is no more than 180.00 a month for all 7 lines and 4500 minutes since my brother has had them for over 10 years.

On the website it has a plan, 169.99 for 4000 minutes, but it doesnt say if there is a charge for each phone or anything?

Any idea? We have 7 lines.

7 lines doesnt really justify a buisness plan. I would suggest looking into a family share for 4 lines and another for 3 lines. The bill at Sprint might be a little less expensive but the service at Verizon is worth the little bit extra you might be spending. I have found from a few experiences with buisness deals and all the experience with personal ports, whaever Srint/Nextel is offering I can usually compete when it comes to price tag. I know they can not compete when it comes to services offered though, thats just where Verizon has ALL the other competitors looking up at VZW.

Its the network .

I am looking into it for my brother, but the verizon website says 5 or more lines for that business plan for 169.99 for 4000 minutes, unlimited mobile to mobile, unlimited nights and weekends, and unlimited text, video, picture.

What I do not know, is how much is each line on the plan? Is there a 9.99 fee per line or are all lines included?

A guy from verizon emailed and called my brother, i am not sure if verizon can match what we pay now. We pay about 180.00 total for all 7 lines and 4500 minutes.

That current deal you have is a killer deal. He's thinking of switching because he's getting bad service with Nextel phones right?

How about just switch them over to the Hybrid or Sprint PCS network phones? You can set the Sprint PCS phones to force roam on VZW I think. Just be careful not to use too many minutes in that mode though.

I think he just wants to go to a new carrier since a lot of our friends and his business friends have verizon. Hes gonna see if verizon can match the plan and if not how close they come.

You keep talking about VZW "matching" what you have now. VZW doesn't price match rate plans.

That is for 1 phone, you need to look at the family plans, where 4000 minutes start at 229.99 for the first 2 phones, the 9.99 for up to the next 3 (you can only have 5 on a family line, you would need to do a seperate family plan for the next 2 lines.

you need a 2100 minute plans for 129.99 for four lines and another 2100 minute plan for 109.99.

Suggestion: Put all of you guys on an aggregate plan 7 lines, discount is 6% and WRITE IT OFF on your taxes. That way you can expense whatever fees you have. If it is a self operated business, this is a very simple thing. Allows you to expense everyone on the account also.

i wonder if the guy who called my brother from verizon is telling him all this. my brother will not switch if the cost is much higher, which it looks like it will be, so he will prob stay with sprint.

That 169.99 price you were looking at was for 1 line. That would be 1 line with 4000 minutes. You don't need that. You could do the aggregate share which would give you basically a total of 3150 minutes to share between all lines but the cost would be 279.93 a month, before discounts. Like others have said, you'd probably be better off with family share.

Thanks everyone, im sure my brother will look into it. He was going to send the guy a copy of his sprint bill and have the guy work it out and see if verizon offers anything comparable.

Thanks

Also, you can monitor your cellular usages for a few months and recalculate. You might be using alot of minutes on sprint that are calling all those VZW peeps. So if you get VZW and 40 percent of your calls are to VZW customers then you might only need about 2400 total minutes.

Keep one thing in mind. VZW has the best overall customer experience. That being said, it will probably cost a little more (which has been pointed out is all tax deductible anyway) but you do get what you pay for. Wait until you have a time when your Sprint phone quits working and you have a nightmare to get it fixed...you lose a customer or two because you couldn't talk to them. How much would it be worth now?

theres times when our phones dont work very well. I was driving on the thruway the other day and i had no signal for quite some time. When we go to the southern tier in NY there is spotty service and a lot of areas with no service. With him traveling more, i think he wants a better carrier as long as they can come close to what we pay now. Sprint only charges him 20.00 for my line, the other 6 are no charge on his plan.
