Verizon Wireless--getting hired
What does it take to get an interview with this company? I have applied twice, and in my opinion I have a very solid resume, several years experience in the wireless industry as well as sales and retail management. What exactly are they looking for? Any suggestions??

Actually that's the right approach. Go to the stores and try to find the e-mail of the person who does the hiring. Making the extra step will help you when it comes to getting any job in any company.

I can tell you from experience...it is so hard to get hired! I have had probably 5 interviews with Verizon direct and I am still working indirect. I have known a few people to get the jobs but it is brutal! Just keep trying!! That is all the advice I can give you...it is worth the effort!

just like any job, be persistant. If you've applied twice in a month, they wont remember you. If you apply once, then check back 2-3 times a week to see if they've had a chance to look over your resume. Just make yourself known without being obnoxious. Dont stay forever and talk to employees cause you'll piss off the manager, just keep dropping by looking professional. This isnt a verizon principle, this is a get-a-job-anywhere principle.
