I heard LGs are one of the best. I have a LG Fusic from sprint, and its the best phone i have ever had.

Just because one model of LG is great doesn't mean they all are. Do you know how much headache the LG VX-5300 and LG VX-8600 have caused me and my customers?

ive never had an LG before...im just saying overall ive heard that. My friends who have verizon have always bought LG's. Ive always had Samsung and Nokia.

That's because the previous generations of LGs were awesome (with the exception of the VX8100).

People generalize everything including phones. Because one LG is great, the rest must be great right?

Lucky for LG, they have a guy like me that steers people to the VX-8300 and away from the VX-5300. Or away from the VX-8600 (discontinued.... surprised?) and towards the VX-8700.

there are 2 LG's which i like from Verizon. One is black and thin like a RAZR, which might be the one this guy is having a problem with. PhoneArena has it listed as discontinued. And I like the silver LG thats on the sprint website.

It basically IS an LG RAZR. It works well for the first 6 months. After that, you're playing Roulette. That's if we're both talking about the LG VX-8600. =)

I love that 8600 phone and I sold 100s of them sandgly. I sold probably a couple 1000 of the 8300 as well and EVERYONE loves that phone. It sounds like you guys are experiencing some issues that we here in my zone have never really had with those phones. I am comfortable in selling any LG made phone because I dont think they make ANY junk in my opinion. And I am 100% promoters, so I think my customers would have corrected me if I was wrong.

I am sorry if there was some sort of issue with some of these phones, but the 5300 is super popular from a sales point and if it was junk, they would have discontinued that one. Thanks for all the opinions on the lg. I like the phone. However the screen went blue. Got replaced because it was a manufacturer problem. Now the outlet is pushed in on this model.
Im looking for some help if possible to get verizon to switch me to the 9400. Is it possible?????

A) A broken charger port is not a manufacter's defect, and is considered physical abuse. If you have insurance you can get it replaced for $50 deductable.

B) Even if you got it replaced, it would be another 8600. If by some reason you replace it again, you wouldn't get the 9400. You would get a comparable phone, which would most likely be the 8300 or 8700.

And you are talking about a Sprint phone in a VZW forum. That gets a 🤨 from me. 😁

No problem there. Just don't except the features of the Fusic on any phone in VZW LG or not. 😉

I would prob get another LG....but it would have to have a music player where i can take MP3s from my computer and use them as ringtones and songs for my headset while i rollerblade.

There is absolutely no way you can use a full MP3 as a ringtone with VZW. The best you can do is cut it down small enough to fit in an MMS and then send it to yourself which only works half of the time.

yeah thats what i do. Or i use the USB or memory stick to put a smaller verison of the mp3 on my phone.

The USB and memory card method won't work with VZW for ringtones. You can listen to them in the music player but that's about it.

GUYS.... I am with verizon. I have the 8600. This is the second time Im taking phone back.
Is there anyway you can help me to try and find a way to get out of this model and into another without paying full retail?

Here's the thing, though. You're NOT taking the phone back. You're getting it replaced under warranty. The only way that I've seen people get different phones is if you have a warranty issue 3 times within 3 months which you haven't had so you get the same model that you had. Sorry to say this, but: FULL RETAIL FOR YOU! 😁

It all depends on whether verizon can match the plan we have at sprint. If they can my brother will switch.

Reps can't make their own plan. I don't think you can price match on a plan.



There might be something you can do though. Get the same plan (it might be more money than you're paying now) and then call CS and see if they will credit the bill so it's the same or similar price to your current plan. I've seen it done, but it's sort of rare.
