Tech question, speakerphone

Ok, what Im wondering, is does the quality of the speakerphone more dependent on the software of the phone or the actual speaker itself.

Heres what I am thinking about doing, taking my 8300, an soldering in better speakers from a better speaker phone, such as a moto v60s or kyocera kx444 which are the two best speakers ever in a Verizon phone as far as I'm concerned.

Anybody have any clue if this would work?

Well, Ive done stuff like that before, in the old Nokia 5100/6100/8100 series phones I would solder in different color LEDs in place of the stock green ones, I had a 8260 with Cingular that had a white faceplate on it and blue LEDs, it was really cool looking especially for 2001.

Thanks, if anybody decides to do this, just make sure you solder the positive and negative wires correctly.

Yeah, give it a shot, just dont do it on anything that your not afraid to break, you never know how things will turn out.

I had an old v60s here, took it apart, the speakers are in the back of the housing,

Take the speakers out, there is a black clip on the speakers that has 2 springs on them, these springs touch the back board on the v60, take the springs off and there are 2 copper plates, one has a + and the other has a - next to them (positive and negative).

On the 8300, take the phone apart, unplug the speakers, as close as you can to the speaker, cut the 2 wires (black is negative, red is positive, duh)

Solder the black to the negative on the v60 speaker, and the red to the positive.

VERY IMPORTANT, THE SOLDER MUST BE DONE PERFECTLY OR ELSE THE SOUND WILL BE LIKE CRAP COMING OUT ONCE YOU RESTART THE PHONE.

You will need an "exacto" knife to ...
