Hey there. I need to pick me up a new phone, and I need one for my wife as well. I was planning on getting the LG 7000, but the sales guy tried to talk me into getting the Samsung 670, because it is buy one get one free. I know very little about that phone.

Any advice on which is better and why? Both seem very highly reviewed here. I just like voice dialing, had an old cell with speakerphone which I liked, and color displays. Mp3 ring tones would be nice too.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

I'd get the LG VX6100 if it were me. I have the VX6000 and I have really liked this phone. The only drawback was the fact that it did not function on Analog systems (the LG VX6100 does), most places this is not a problem but here in Nebraska and in some other rural areas it can be hard to pick up a digital signal.

Both the Sammy 670 and the LG 7k are very good phones. However, both lack trimode and speakerphone, if thats important to you at all... for a lot of people it isn't an issue.

Two phones that do have trimode and a speakerphone are the LG 6100 and the Motorola v265. Of the two, I'd tend to recommend the v265- it has a so-so screen and camera, but people are raving about the reception and audio quality, and its on sale through the 28th.

The 6100, on the other hand, seems problematic- it makes a good first impression, as it has a really nice screen, good amt of features, and just feels and looks right. It also seems to function very well in good reception areas. However, a lot of ppl who've had one have commented that it does very poorly ...
