Verizon Rep's Please Explain this ?

Ok, so I have 4 lines in my account. One of those lines is my mom's and she has a separate house line at home. I want to know if I can port the house line to her cell phone line and get rid of her current cell phone number. Know can that be done or what? Last time I spoke with CS He told me it could be done and today when i called the CS rep said that it couldn't be done and that I was misinformed.

Anyone?

Thanks,

Some Phone #'s cannot be Ported. Most Landlines ported can take 10-14 days to do so, meaning you will be able to make calls on the cell, but your landline will be the one receiving it until the port is completed. Have them check the portability of the Line before doing the request and make sure she is OK with not being able to receive calls for a number of days.

if you wish, go to
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/LNPControllerServlet »

and see if your home number is actually portable. some CS reps don't seem to have time to help the customer, and respond in a way that is not professional or courteous. hope this helps!

another difficulty that many people don't realize is that their home phone will now be condensed into one little phone, instead of many phones placed around the house. I've had many people decide not to port their number when realizing that this will be the case.

port landline to cell phone takes prolly up to 10 days, cus landline companies are slow to confirm the acct info. but its possible. you prolly got an outsource cust service rep. they suck balls and can't do much, sorta like indirects but with less intelligence and/ or training. sorry and/or my bad to any outsource and/ or indirects if i insulted ya.

no, im actually blasting outsource customer service reps. indirects are cool, just either need to make excruciatingly clear that dealing with them is just as good as not having verizon at all, or give 'em more power.
