Waiting for new phones (R)ant
Just had to post this comment about Verizon it may have a good network and you don't drop a lot of calls which is great. BUT.....
If Verizon had invented the wheel we would all be walking still.
What is the problem with the companys they use to get new cell phones. ATT, Sprint, ETC seem to get new phones all the time. I swear Verizons development area is using Crayons and kindergartners to design there phones and this is the reason for the delay.
Sorry to rant and yes I did see that post about the 15 "UPCOMING BUT NOT OUT" new phones we customers are always waiting for Verizon. 👿

Well, the Moto Q9m rolls out tomorrow (for online and B2B, anyway). And then 15 more phones allegedly drop between now and the end of the year (the '15 new phones' article didn't include the RAZR2).
So if all goes well, VZW should be averaging almost one new phone per week through the end of the year. Seems like a start.

I can post all kinds of stuff to entertain you if you would like. I take it that you must be one of those friendly VZW reps who get bothered by complaints. I am just stating a know fact and was wondering what the hold up was since other companys can get phones out a heck of a lot sooner.

I feel your pain, i have been wanting to get rid of my lg8700 for a long time, I get sick of phones to quick and want a new one, but nothing is out. I thought about going back to the enV and getting the orange one(I loved my old 9900, best phone i ever had) But really want the 6800 or better yet the samsung 760, or better yet the infamous Prada variant. Anything, I might even consider one of the new motos(doubt it) but I will jump on whatever comes out first because I am itching for a new toy

I agree with you I want a new Blackberry like the 8130 that is showing for November. I just get so tired of reading on this site on the main page that some other carrier gets a new phone and it seems to repeat it self every week they have something new but not Verizon..

If you've ever beeb a Verizon customer or employee for the last 3yrs. you will notice their phone release push usually runs from August to January.
Examples:
Q's, Chocolate's and V\EnV's- August time frame
Razr/Krazr- November time frame
Samsung does seem to like to drop a phone here and there once a quarter though.
Point is Verizon is quite repetitive or stubborn about release dates

Yeah, maybe. But why did the V3 and vx8300 go up $10 then. Kinda weird if they're gonna be replaced in the next month or so. They should be in the price range of the old vx5300.

Huh? The vx8300 didn't go up, its still $99 w/a 2-yr. In fact, it was price dropped by $50 a few weeks back.
The V3 DID go up, by $40, but that was after some temporary special promo they were doin' where you could get one for $9(!) w/a 2-yr.
I was payin' attention to this stuff 'cuz I just recently upgraded (to an 8300). 😎

Where do you work cause we are selling the 8300 and V3 at $59.99 a.m.i.r.? Before Red Hot Deal Days they were $49.99 a.m.i.r..

I'm not a VZW employee. Those are just the prices I saw in the VZW store (I'm in California).
However, I did screw up on the 8300's price... its actually $49 w/a 2yr, due to the MIR. Same price as the V3m.

see, because of our "most reliable network" thing, we have to have phones that meet the quality to work on our network. its like the iphone, my friend has a great analogy he told me about. "its like drving a ferarri on a dirt road". the device is only as good as the network. for us, because we spend like a million dollars a month on our network, we want to make sure that our phones are of equal quality. word.
