No, actually he gave you the smart answer. You can hack a cell phone to do just about anything, but sometimes its a pretty stupid thing to do. That banner is your main roaming indicator on that phone. Also, hacking your phone is liable to screw it up in other ways, and now if something goes wrong with it that is related to the hack or not, when you try to get it repaired or replaced under warranty they are going to laugh at you.
