Over 65? That's just dumb, in two very different ways:

1) The baby boomers started getting born en masse in '46. So the age 65 limit is actually cuttin' out a lot of seniors. 60 would've been a lot smarter.

2) A plan like that would appeal t...

But Shock, they want to force people to the $39 plan since there is more money to be made off it.

Sure, revenue-wise, the $39 plan is better for VZW. But profit-wise, I dunno... it might be a wash.

The low-use plan is REALLY low-use, i.e. doesn't take up much network capacity. And I don't think you'd get any NE2 or early upgrade benefits out of it either.

Yeah, no ne2, must be on plan $34.99 or higher.

yeah but then a lot of our existing customer base would want off of the 700 minute sahre plans and other published rate plans.

I am on the 700 minute sahre plan and use about 3000 in minutes each month and only a couple hundred anytime minutes, if they came back with the 59.99 share plan i would move to it and they would loose that extra $120 a year they get out of me.

To be honest, VZW prolly should have had a $59 Family Plan anyway.

I think they did at one time... it had 500 peak minutes or something like that. They may even still have one now, as a retention-only thing.

I guess the real question is, what does VZW prioritize right now, profits or market share? They seem to want to pass ATT for #1, yet don't really pull the trigger on certain things that would ensure that happening sooner rather than later.

Actually I've been getting the impression that they're happy just being #1 in retail rather than overall.

It may be that VZW is just a cash cow for 'beeg' Verizon's FiOS build-out right now.

Man your just looking to get in trouble, you know that white screen that pops up whenever you log into infocenter that talks about the info contained is for use by agents only, and that it cannot be discussed out of vzw?

Trust me, Big Brother is watching this forum, I got whacked once for discussing stuff on here that was talking about upcoming promotions.

To be fair, this stuff was already all over HoFo a day ago. He's not the only one spillin' his guts, lol.

But I understand that you're just tryin' to save the guys job. If he's not takin' precautions when he posts, I feel bad for him.

Yeah, you know the rule of thumb, it can be everywhere, but once you post it, they will get you.

Plus, the more stuff that leaks out, the less stuff they will tell us, it has already happened before. We use to get release dates of phones before they came out, then people started posting them, now we cant see the release dates anymore.
