Q9m = POS

As much as I wanted a "NEW" pda phone, this one... well F'N SUX BIG TIME!!! Although, I am now familiar with pda features, it's going back ASAP. It seemed like the html pages worked pretty decent the first 48hrs. Now you ask??? 2 thumbs down. I could take a shower, hard boil some eggs, and write a thesis on how slow this phone is before it opened a web page. Battery life you ask??? I cycled the battery like you're supposed to, and can't get a full day on a overnight charge. I did like the 2 different profiles though. I will clearly wait for the i760 or the 6800, or whatever comes first. I really wanted to keep this sucker too. Oh well...

Do you own it? probably not. Just because you play with it in the store doen't mean it's great. The previous Q had the same battery problems.

Oh. But do you take it home, for personal use? I'd bet that you'd find the same issues as well. I liked the phone, I did, but I had to go back to my enV. Aside from reception and clarity, this phone was below average for me.

Did you remember to end the programs in the memory manager? This may be the reason it runs so slow. But battery problems are a problem with all Qs (Q silver, Q black, Q9h, Q9m)

I sure did. Still, the same problems persisted. Yesterday, I used the phone twice with a full charge and was almost dead by 10am. I know I could've gotten a bad battery, but overall I wasn't too impressed.

I ACTUALLY work for this company as well, and this device just like its predecessor is a piece of trash......your a CSR, you dont know anything about anything so go back to doing returns and taking bill payments.

actually I am in data tech support. I created this screen name when I was in customer care.

I am very well versed in data which been proven on this site.

my opinion of the q9m is just that, an opinion.

don't judge people before you get to know them.

The web is virtually unsuable on the current Q. I was hoping they would fix that. I guess they didn't.

Keep in mind, even though the new q is just a new shell ontop of the old Q hardware, the main new feature is Windows Mobile 6. It offeres a few new tweaks. The most noticelable one is HTML-Email.

I can t tell you how many times I get emails on my current silver Q and cant view it cause its HTML based. This is a nice new feature to have.

I did play with the new Q in the store and am disappointed there is less ruberization of the case (only the back) and the keyboard feels cheaply made. I find it easier to type on the old keyboard.

So to sum it up the new Q is the old one in new clothes and with an OS upgrade and a brighter LCD. (IR port was removed as well). I guess Verizon figured who would buy the old looking phone with Win Mobil...
