the way the industry is going that is very possible, but I wouldn't think we would see anything like that this decade

Not that this is impossible, but you have noticed that companies who offer that at this time seem to go out of business VERY quickly. There used to be an unlimited plan (probably about 10 years ago) but there were so many others things they had to give...If you get all your friends and family to switch to VZW, it would be essentially unlimited. 🙂

What would offering an unlimited plan have to do with being the best network?

Amp'd offered unlimited and they went under. MetroPCS offers it and it helps degrade their network quality to the point where many ppl refer to them as 'Ghetto PCS'. So maybe its not such a good thing.

6000 peak minutes, unlimited nights, weekends, and IN isn't enough? 😳

I dunno man... I doubt VZW is gonna lower their n/w to 6 or 7pm anytime soon.

They don't really have to, they're doing well as it is.

Verizon seems to be on their high horse somewhat. I've called them a few times to see if they're going to offer something extra soon, but they keep throwing "unlimited mobile-to-mobile" in my face as if they were the only ones to do this. 🙄
I call about 4-5 phone numbers the most, so I circle of friend would benefit me more than anything else.

Not everyone does unlimited m2m. A surprising number of T-Mobile plans, for instance, don't have it. Though I do like their 'My Faves' concept.
