Since Radio Shack is a seller of Verizon phones, would I get a discount if I apply and work there?

Sure, you'd get a 10% discount on handsets & accessories, if you had a regular plan, or you could go with the Verizon employees plan, and get a deep discount on the handset, and an employees-only rate plan and area. But you really don't want to work for Radio Crack. The hours suck, the pay sucks, the customers are sub-moronic imbeciles, in fact, just about everything about the company sucks. Go work for Best Buy. You'll get paid more & enjoy it more. Trust me on this one.

DONT DO IT! I worked for Radioshack for a while. It sucks SO bad. I asked for a raise once and you know what they said? They said "sell more". Since you work on commision they wont pay you more EVER. So imagine working at Minimum Wage for that entire time.

I'm only doin it til I can get a phone and plan for extra cheap. As in the Lg VX8000 with an unbeatable plan. And what ever I can get from the store. Once I have abused my priviledges, I'll quit.

Bad thing about the employee plan - once you leave, it reverts to an ordinary plan. No real savings there. The employee benefits don't kick in for 30 days for seasonal hires, plus the benefits suck anyway. Employee discount is 30% on RS branded stuff, 10% on everything else, like phones & most of the electronics. It's all overpriced crapola anyway. I worked there for 3 years, and I was kicked around between 5 different stores, promised all sorts of things that never happened, etc. It truly is The Wo...
