Lotus Notes syncronization

Organized Confusion

Nov 26, 2004, 10:51 PM
Hey all,

Is there any way for the Samsung i600, or any other Verizon phone to synchronize with the Lotus Notes calendar?

Commontime.com has a software to purchase that supposedly allows sync'ing for any Windows Based and Palm PDA. Does anyone have experience with this, or any other software that allows the feature I'm looking for?

Thanks a lot!

My Treo 600 syncs just fine with Lotus Notes using Wireless Sync.

Hi Beryl,

Thanks for your helpful message! Is your Treo 600 using Verizon service or Sprint? Does it matter?

Is wireless sync a Lotus Notes application or Treo 600? Do I have to download or purchase anything to do this (such as purcasing Lotus Notes itself for the PDA)?

I appreciate your guidance!

I use VZW and the Wireless Sync option is a VZW offering which has no additional cost. Sprint has a similar service called Business Connection but I've never used it.

Go to this website for the Treo and workstation downloads and documentation.

This is what you'll need:

1. A supported device (Treo 600)
I use the Treo but also use the Kyocera 7135. Both work great. When my Treo dies, the 7135 works while I'm waiting for a replacement.

2. Data service on your Treo.
I have the unlimited data option ($44.95 minus corporate discounts) because I prefer to have my Treo always on (like a Blackberry.) You might not need that much so there are other data options.

3. Notes access with a windo...

I can't speak directly to the Samsung i600 or synchronization via a Verizon phone, but we have used mNotes from Commontime software for over a year using both Windows Mobile and Palm platforms with great success. We are very pleased with both the program and the support we've received from Commontime when we have run into small glitches. You might try emailing Commontime support with questions about their support of the Samsung i600. They've been very open and honest with their responses to us.
