I just got the Q9M with my old plan. 900min unlimited text, picture, and video messaging, and pay as you go data. 3 questions. 1. If i send or receive a pix or video message will it get charged as data. 2. If I put a block and data what exactly will be blocked. Will I not be able to send texts any more. and 3. With either the pay as you go or blocked data can i get a wifi card for the phone and go on the internet without being charged?

1. No Kilobytes will be charged for pix/flix messages (although you will be billed 1-2 min of airtime during peak hours)

2. If you add the block you will be able to send/receive text but NOT pictures.

3. Yes, wifi has nothing to do with verizon wireless or our network. Feel free.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

if your concerned you could put the phone in airplane mode to eliminate even the chance of dialing into verizon's network and getting billed

Careful with the data usage. I had a customer about a year ago with the Q. He ended up with at $3,000 phone bill because the Q is continuously checking for updates. I don't know if that's a setting that can be turned off in the new Q or not.
