Question about Upgrading...

This may be a silly question, but how is it that people can upgrade to new phones everytime a knew one comes out? I always read threads where people are upgrading from a phone that came out less than a year ago, to a new phone. Are they paying regular price for the phone? Could someone attempt to enlightened me please?

You can purchase new phones whenever you want, regardless of when you are eligible to upgrade. The only difference is, you would have to pay full retail price of the phone if you are still 'in' contract.

The discounted pricing is only offered as an incentive to get consumers locked into an agreement.

Also keep in mind that you don't have to commit to a 2 year contract. There are 1 year contract...
