The End all Thread about Bluetooth and VZW

Ok.

I keep hearing people complain and whine about the functionality of Verizon Wireless Bluetooth capable phones.

Stop whining.

This entire debate is based upon the fact that the end user (customer) is expecting WAY too much out of a product. A simple customer inquiry such as "Well does it work with a bluetooth pc synch?" would have solved ALL these problems.

No where on the box did the phone ever say it would synch with a pc. Nowhere on the box did the phone list that it would work with a bluetooth enabled car kit. Verizon Wireless never ONCE advertised the bluetooth motorola v710 as being able to work with any/all bluetooth connections.

If anyone feels deceived about the bluetooth functionality, did you ever ASK what the ph...

You need to live the Bluetooth experience to fully understand. A simple customer inquiry such as "Well does it work with a bluetooth pc synch?" would NOT have solved these problems. First, the VZW website still says "connect to your PC or PDA whenever and wherever you want." so why would you ask that question.

Next, most people did realize that the Bluetooth was crippled as soon as they tried to connect to a BT device, but by then the stores were already promisi...

So you are a verizon customer service rep

well if you are informed you are one of the few. Do this experiment - go home today and pick up your phone -call cs and do not disclose that you work there. ask some simple questions about this phone. not only will you get a lot of i do not know and please hold (be prepared to hold) you will also get about as many answers as calls you want to make. I have had helpful but unknowledgeble to rude and combative.I even had one lady tell me that verizon believes that the people who have developed the gin profile must get paid and this means even if i have to pay to get the pics i have taken off the camera via e-mail then too damn bad (her exact words) i did talk to a manager about that. It shouldnt be necessary for a customer to ask what kind of bluetooth it is our what it works with. That would be like buying a car and having to ask "Well does it come with a windshield? How about tires? Do i get a steering wheel with this car? I honestly believe Verizon messed up the definition of bluetooth. Verizon "lametooth" is what it should be called.
