is the razr 2 worth that much more money all I want is a good solid phone that will do all the video and vcast i need i have an envy and it has to many bells and whistles that they forgot to make it a phone very bad call quality and so verizon recommended the 8700 (the Shine). i was really considering this phone anyway. please help me.

On verizon I have heard that LG's are solid for everything. Reception and overall phone. I had sprint and now have alltel and have an lg. I have the 8600 and its a great phone. So I don't think you would go wrong with an LG but some are complaining about one of them I think its the 8350. The 8300 was a great phone and some stores might still have them.

yea that was my last phone and it was great but i think lg made a dud trying to make an upgrade but it was a very good phone and some friends of mine have the 8600 and they like it it's durable so far as the outside goes but if you drop it the software goes haywire and has lines through the screen and when you take pictures that is the only thing keeping me from the 8700 cause they seem so much alike. any thoughts?

dunno my wife has dropped hers a few times might be the software with verizon I am not sure. The only thing that did hers in was when it got dropped in water. Had to get a new one. Not sure what you should get but I would stay clear from moto. Verizon is already reporting software problems with the raz2 from what I have been reading!

Looked at both V9 and 8700. Went in wanting the 8700. Found V9 heavy and >cost. Talking with V-Store mgr. Mentioned that 8700 will 'dent' if dropped vs. plastic phone. Ended up with LGVX8350.

how is it? I have read allot of issues with it on this site.

The 8700 seems very nice. Solid, heavy, construction. Nice screen and very nice UI. 'Requires' a pouch to protect against scratches in the pocket. Also, a bit pricey for my taste. As mentioned, bought LG8350. Also just got an iTouch for music etc.
