People will no doubt mention phones on the horizon like the 10000 but that doesn't even have a release date and there is no telling when it will drop. I totally agree with you. I guess we have to have faith in VZW hoping that they know what they are doing in waiting and making sure the devices are up to VZW standards. I know it took us forever to get the RAZR and when we did they still sucked! Ha!

Hence, my contract ends in April 2008. After being with Verizon since 1999 (Bell Atlantic Mobile). I am going to cave in to my wife and switch.

why are people sayin the i760 is ugly? it looks way better than that brick 6800 and its all black which i think looks great. We are also getting an updated pearl, and it will prolly perform better since it's not the first go round. Just be patient and realize that you are using all of these phones on the best network available.
Verizon will get their act together this fall, and Im hoping we can all take a step back and stop complaining at least for a few months...lol

People keep complaining cuz nothing seems to be changing. Believe me I hope I'm wrong I want to be wrong that means better phones for me but I am doubtful. The fall doesn't appear to be much better ever single phone we get will be on another cariier long before we see it. Again, we know Verizon has the best coverage and we love that but you can't keep playing the same old tune "but we have the best network". Ok, how about best network with some awesome phones? Why settle, why not improve?

The majority of the phones do the same thing. It's been a while since we had a phone released with different features. How many VCast phones do we have with video, 1.3 megapixel camera, etc? They're all the same with a different form factor. It would be nice to get something a little different. The Samsung a990/u900 is nice, but 3 megapixels isn't much compared to the 5 you can get with other carriers.

This thing is debated all the time and it is a well known fact that Verizon lacks behind others in phones. What's crazy is it has been this way for a while and yet nothing is done. The "we have the best network" is thrown at us like it makes us feel better. We have had crippled older phones but the best nework for a while. How about Best network and new innovative phones? Nah, we will settle for Best network and always waiting for the new stuff. Why get better?

They do test their phones pretty extensively which is a good reason that they're behind, but there hasn't been anything new released feature wise since the Samsung a990. That was over a year ago. Weak.

I am so outa here when my contract is up! I will absolutely go to another carrier with a better phone selection becuase where I live several other carriere have excellent coverage, customer service and a great, interesting phone selection. Too bad the once might Verizon can't offer the same!
