Converting Family Plan to Individual Plans

Currently I have a Family Share Plan for my wife and I. I bought a Moto Q in June 06 w/ the 2 yr contract. In January of this year, my wife also upgraded to a Moto Q w/ 2yr contract. Now as I am just learning, it appears even though I have a 2 yr contract, I am eligible for a new phone 1 yr into the contract. My wife apparently has to wait out the full 2 years before she can get a new phone.

So now does that mean if I upgrade my phone now, it extends the contract for both of us 2 years from this date? In addition when she gets an upgrade in Jan 2009, does that extend my contract another 2 years from that date? So basically i am locked in to 2011 if my wife wants an upgrade in 09.

What I would really like to do is go back to the 1yr co...

Extending the contract of one line doesn't affect the contract of the other line unless there's a plan change involved.

Prorated termination fee is $175 - $5 for every month you've fulfilled of the contract.

Annual upgrade policy...but you would not be eligible for any NE2 credit...
