So you are saying they will not allow you to get insurance on a PDA because of the price? I think this is total crap.
...
yup. Most carriers only insure phones under 400!
...
You can get insurance on any phone verizon carries, including PDA's
...
did not know that. I take its more expensive?
...
Not that I have seen, I have sold dozens of them with the $5 insurance, I have never had a customer declined for having it on there.
...
I just read what it deosn't cover. Misuse drop spills. Hell what else is there to cover? If it just dies?
...
what are you reading? Loss, theft , physical damage with a $50 deductible...I always suggest it on any high end device...
...
was reading the pdf on verizon but it was only on the warranty the other info they say is sent by the 3rd party!
...
That's because VZW doesn't actually insure the phones, Asurion does.
...
I know that most carriers do contract it out to 3rd parties. However they have on the website what it does and does not cover. Verizon doesnt' that is why I didnt' see it!
...
hahahahahahahahaha!!!!! i damn near spit a mouthful of pizza right at the screen when i saw your new gravatar. classic! 🤣
...
No, insurance covers anything, water damage, loss, theft, any kind of damage period.
You must be reading about the warranty/extended warranty
...
yes I was. So its different? I read it covers everything in the insurance and then some extra so I thought it was the same!
...
The warranty just covers manufactures defects.
The insurance covers everything else.
Look at it the same way as car insurance. If your altenator goes out and your car has 10,00 miles on it, its coverd under the manuf. warranty.
If you run a red light while changing the station you wouldnt expect that to be covered under the manuf. warranty (i.e. 5 year 50,000 miles). you would have to call you insurance company.
...
I was actually reading total equipment coverage.
...
TEQ extendes the 1 year manuf warranty to make it 2 years, and also includes insurance.
So if your screen goes bad, or if your charging port quit working after 1 year, and its not water damage or misuse, it will be exchanged under the extended warranty, if the terminals have corrosion on them they cant, you would then have to file an insurance claim for $50.
...
but your right the only thing they have n the website covers the warranty. The other info comes from a 3rd party! I missed that the first time!
...
You can get insurance on any phone no problem. You just have to do it in the 1st 15days of activation
...
I had the 6700 from verizon, and had insurance. Only cost me 50 bucks when I cracked the screen for the replacement. ATT doesn't have insurance for PDA's since you can not block them from the system, you can report it stolen, pay 50 bucks, get a new one and sell on ebay!
