"RIM Pearl 2: The Pearl 2 is a CDMA version of the Pearl, which was released last year. Its major updates include EV-DO data, a 2 Megapixel camera, 3.5mm headset jack, stereo Bluetooth, and integrated GPS. The microSD slot has been moved from under the battery to the side of the phone. The browser and mail program have been updated slightly in appearance."
I do not see the word wifi anywhere on that description of VZW's Pearl 2.

Yeah, I dunno, but I never read before that it would have wifi as well as gps. If it does, that would make it the first blackberry in the USA to have both.
...
Yeah that is why i was so stoked, hopefully we can get some accurate info âšī¸

Yeah, but I doubt seriously that it will have both.
...
I can confirm...it will have both. Some print will show that somewhere. But it will have both. I have seen the device personally.

C'mon, are you joking? That would make Verizon Wireless the first U.S company to have a blackberry with both.

We may not always be the first to launch a product...ie Pearl...but when we do, we get it right!

Well, if this is true, why not advertise it in every document? Why would some documents not indicate wifi at all?
...
Dunno. I just reread the emails and it isn't listed there. But a BB rep said it was definitely wifi. We shall see. He showed me the phone and showed these features. We shall see.

check your email.

I did. Nothing in there about wifi. I am just going by what a rep said. Maybe I will need to retract...

This sounds very nice. I would consider giving up my M. Q for this phone. I have a lot of software for the Q, would any of it work on this phone? Also, how do you think this will compare to the newer Blackberry, is it the 8820 or 8830? I can't remember, but isn't there one later than the Pearl?
