Sprint's Q4 Lineup Vs. Verizon Q4 Lineup
ALL the touch screen phones out are ALL pda's! Duh!
the iphone is a pda, the voyager is a pda, the i760 is a pda, the 6800 is a pda, ....
what touch screen phone is not a pda? the only main differences are the operating system. Either winmobile, symbian, apple, or some other proprietary os. they all are pretty capable of the same basic tasks: internet, email, photos, music, videos, etc.
just pick your poison.
So if the voyager and iphone are full blown pda's why do they have different data packages available from their carries then?
I still think buttons is the way to go, they are easier to use and they save time...and isn't that what biz phones are all about.
I love the software part of the iphone...but i want some real buttons.
And you can't say "its just an env with touchscreen"...its a lot more than that, and the phone made some HUGE improvements over the 9900
Thats like saying football is just simply putting a brown ball into an endzone. I think we all know its more complicated than that.
I would say those are pretty big changes. Like I said, you can simplify anything you want, but I really don't think your being objective and taking a fair look at the phone.
You really should be comparing a treo or something like that to the touch.
Your insane if you don't think this phone competes with the iphone. and at $250 or so its more affordable for almost the same feature set on a better network with faster data.
I hate to end our little convo, but I really gotta get back to some work...lol
I guess we'll just have to wait until november to see how this phone really does...

I AM KJ said:
it is a great phone..adding touchscreen is a big ticket..but it still doesnt compete with the touch or iphone...maybe with sprints lg260
Of course it competes with the iPhone.... at least until the iPhone fixes its major missing features/probs:
- No 3G (ooh, EDGE is so fast. Not.)
- No MMS (wtf?)
- No voice-calling
- No GPS
- Much more crippled Bluetooth than what most new Verizon phones have
- A virtual keyboard with tiny lil' keys that are hard to hit, that you can't even use in landscape mode (which has bigger keys) 'cept in one app (Safari)
The iPhone could have been a total killshot, but Apple definitely slipped up on some things.
