That's because 4G cards are MicroSDHC cards not MicroSD cards. MicroSD slots don't necessarily take MicroSDHC cards unless they are made for that.

Btw, there has been a software update to the phone after you got yours before it was approved for release... and if your phone bricks when/if you do the update... well lets just say, good luck getting a warranty replacement from VZW ;)
