ESN SWAP

DoubleHelix

If I want to switch back to my previous handset for a day, I know I can go to the web site and do it automatically.

Is there a minimum time period that phone needs to be active before I switch back?

I am comparing sound quality and want to toggle it a few times.

I've heard there is a billing system limit for the amount of changes in a day. Like 3 or 4 but I've never ran into it.

I have run into it! Be careful. Too many times you will have to wait 24 hours to switch again

Thanks everyone, I would not be switching more than once in a few days. It worked and I am speaking on the old/new phone and perhaps on Tuesday I'll switch back.

I can't believe how easy it was - just like switching SIM cards on a GSM network.

Here is a question I asked once before but never got the definitive answer.

I just switched back to my previous RAZR V3M which had full TEC 5.99 a month coverage.

Then I got an LG 8700 and continued the TEC 5.99 coverage.

Now that I switched back to previous equipment temporarily (it was never activated since I de-activated it)....where does the insurance come into play?
Which phone is covered? Does it flip flop as I switch ESN's ? Interesting fact that inquiring minds want to know.

So are you saying that if I currently have my V3M activated and I have always had the TEC 5.99 on the account, that the RAZR is covered?
Then if tomorrow I switch back to my LG 8700, that is now covered?

What happened to the 15 day rule or is this allowed simply because I have had both of these pones in my name and have never been activated on anyone else's account?
This is confusing to say the least.

It goes by the esn on the account when you file a claim. Don't know of any 15 day rule as regard to switching phones. The 15 day rule is regards to adding insurance after changing the esn.
