I dunno... maybe 'cuz iPhones and a new version of the N95 have 8 GB internal, and 'cuz 2GB as a number just doesn't sound like a lot anymore, what with 6GB microSD cards already out, and 8GB cards on the way soon?

Not mockin' the question at all, just sayin'.

Yeah, it's probably gonna be overshadowed by the LG touchscreen twins and the BB Pearl 2. I don't think a lot of ppl doubt that. Doesn't mean it's a bad phone tho'.

The 8800 and the 10000 are for a completely different demographic, a $100 phone is going to appeal to a lot more people then a $200-$300 phone, I think the "juke" will appeal to the younger crowd.

Hope you're right, WF... but there is something about the Juke that just does not yell 'sexay' to me. Maybe the kids will feel diff'rently.

It's just that VZW seems to really be pushing the 'music phone' idea so hard lately ("The Q9 is now a sexay music phone, the Q9m!" Umm... is it really?), and maybe without that much success, other than the Chocolate/New Chocolate.

I guess I'm just one of those many guys who likes iPods better for that stuff.

I think maybe it's because voice has hit a point of saturation in most area's, and they really need to generate revenue from any/ all data products available.

But look at it this way: Most people aren't us. They've been with one carrier most of their lives, maybe two. If you've been with VZW for the last 2+ years and noticed you phone has only 54-62MB of internal memory 2GB is a tremendous jump. Throw in the fact that if you bought a Chocolate for $129 after MIR and have to drop another $75 for the Music Kit 2.0 (I'm just guessing cause I forgot how much it really is.) A $99 phone that has that already is gonna jump at parents.

Yep it won't push as many as the new LG's but it'll get it's portion cause those two will cost a pretty penn...

That is huge memory. My enV has 48MB and my 8350 has 36MB. I have memory cards, but onboard memory still counts for some stuff, especially the number of ringtones you can save. Granted, I can save them in My Sounds on my card, but I like having a lot of ringtones to readily choose from. I agree, I think this is a great deal. And hopefully they will continue on with this with the Voyager and other new phones!
