Hey Guys and Gals, got chance to mess around with the voyager for a few minutes. It was powered phone although not activated đĄ So i could not check out the HTML browser or call clarity. đĄ
What I can say so far is that it is very intuitive. Responds very well with little to no lag time. The screen is beautiful. đ
The nice thing is you can still send text on the touch screen with a traditional T9 keypad. I toyed with it a bit but not enough to comment on how good it was.
As we all know the keyboard is the same as the env so yeah. Nothing much to say there although the inside display seems larger.
This phone is going to be a big success I feel, if we can market it correctly.
Well thats all for now. I also play...

Sounds good....did you happen to hear any word on the 755p? Or did you get to play with the pearl at all?
...
No word on the 755 âšī¸ . and i didnt get to play with the Pearl. It was a vendor fair and palm and Rim never show up.
It was funny though because we kept asking the LG guy if he had the Voyager or the Venus and he kept saying NO. Then out of nowhere he just places them on the table.
...
he probably was not sure if he was allowed to show you those yet. I know they have a strict policy for showing phones Verizon has not announced yet. Maybe he figuered out it was ok then pulled them out.
I remeber about 6 months before the 9900 came out I almost had to mug the guy to see it, and when he did pull it out It was only look no touch
...
Yeah, you wouldn't want to upset the market by showing a phone to someone....
weird.
...
ive seen the 755 for verizon.....the treo rep came to my store about a month ago and he had the 755 running on his verizon service.....it looks like a good phone....but i think the pearl and voyager will be the best phones to go with.
...
You say you played with the xv6800...was that in a store? as in they are going to release it soon?
...
Sorry, wasnt in the store was at a vendor fair. Dont have the release date for you on that one.
...
yeah i played with one at a vendor fair too. That was before I left vzw which was in march!
...
One of my co-workers has one as a test device and i can say it is a NICE phone. The phone was supposed to release earlier, but an issue was uncovered with it. Rather than release itto the public broke, the choice was made to make you wait longer for it to be fixed.
when it's fixed it'll be re-tested and if it passes released.
Sadly that's just how the world works.

The only thing that's gonna hinder the whole VX10000 love affair everyone seems to be having; the battery life is atrocious. Trust me.
...
At least it is removable....Giving the customers the option to replace it. Buy a spare. Or purchase an extended. Way more to say for the (dare I say) Iphone.
...
What are the battery life specs anyway?

Have you been testing a pre-release 10000? How do you know it is atrocious?
...
to put the phone on, do you push the button, or is it a touch button? How big is this phone compared to the env? Is the ui fast?
Thanks, jmoney
...
jmoney as in wall twp. jmoney
...
what are you talking about?
...
It is a button the front of the phone. This phone uses normal send and end buttons.
...
Did you actually get to play with the 6800?
...
i have and it's sweet!
...
yes, I did toy with it a bit, nothing to special. I liked the I760 better. Just becuase we (as in Verizon Wireless) are the only ones to offer it.
