2 million customers for ATT, but only 1.2 postpaid. Revenues were up. Is anyone impressed?

nope but with the launch if the new airave and soon wimax things will change. As much as I don't like sprint now I may be rethinking this soon!

Eh, while they may "eventually" get better, its going to be a while.

Even if they do get better tomorrow, they will still have a bad reputation to overcome.

that reputation is in CS and trust me tmobile hot spot is taking off and if tmobile was as large as sprint then it would hurt the rest harder. Airave will be a big hit with people not wanting to have a second line because they can't use a cell in their home!

And wimax is going to be offered for 40 to 50 a month with no contract and 2 - 4 mbs. That will also go over big regardless how bad their CS is!

Yeah, but my point is, how many people are still going to think "I've heard sprint is TERRIBLE, im not going to go with them".

Where Im at 19/20 people that switch, come from Sprint/Nextel, literally.

were you are at that could be because sprint sucks there. Here in Beaufort verizon loses allot to sprint as verizon sucks here and sprint is good they have been here more then 7 years longer then verizon. That is not a good point.

well since your so smart why don't you share it? I got it some don't like to join cuz of CSS. I for one who only call CS for legit reasons and not for free stuff only call maybe 2 times a year. So I prefer service and price over CS anyday!

thats right and since the price wasn't good anymore I went to alltel. What is your point? If you read my other post I said with airave and wimax I may just have to reconsider sprint. So look harder and do more homework before you post.

And since you still didn't answer what the point was maybe you really don't know either!

I agree with you wombough. I'd chose price and performance over customer service issues. Customer service is just a plus. I don't eat a restaurant for customer service, I go there to eat first, and if the customer service is great, that's just a plus. Sprint is changing for the better. New CEO, new American call centers, new devices, etc.
The current acting CEO of Sprint send an email to corp. management, wanting to know what our thoughts were, and how Sprint as a company can improve. Trust me, he heard from me, on what changes NEED TO BE MADE.
The acting CEO has noticed, what I've (and others) noticed. A buffet of plans, add-on services, and too many featured devices. More options = more problems.
My thoughts of Sprint are: superior net...

Trust me, if I could run Sprint, there would definatley be drastic changes. Marketing would be a definate chnage. My opionion, VZW's marketing, is "The Network.

Pretty soon every company will have an indoor solution. Sprint has Airave, T-mobile has UMA, Verizon is using Spotwave. All other carriers will be on board by 2012. If you are wondering about Spotwave, Verizon doesn't advertise it because it doesn't seem to be a great impact on Net Ads/Churn, but if asked CS can direct you to it. Sprint puts it out there because it's smoke and mirrors for their declining customer base and stock prices. Airave will not save that company.

yes but tmobiles is not that good. It doesn't work with all GSM phones. Sprints works with all CDMA phones.

If verizon's does then yes airave won't make a differance!

Good quarter and I would guess overall subs might be besting VZW.

However, if the iPhone was to sell the shelves dry at at&t, 1.2 post-paid is not as huge a number as I would have expected. From RCR, they sold 1.3mil of them...where did all the subs go (save for churn etc). If the iPhone were not available, what kind og quarter would they have had? Would it be sustainable?

Just some thoughts...Still, good quarter for the big blue ball.

Funny. I see no comments from anyone with at&t. I only have a gophone with them, so I don't count.
