It's time to renew. I would just stay month to month but now I work for a company that gets a VZW discount. Here's the break down.
I have a family plan 4 lines but soon to be 3 (married one off). Next no no texting (soon), the other 3 lines are adults that just use the phone to make/get calls. Very occasional get it now use for ring tones and such. BUT would have occasion to use VZ navigator. So the $64,000.00 question, renew now and stay America's choice or wait til November?
...
Stay on America Choice...add the 29.99 family text/pix if needed down the road. You can use verizon nav pay for a day, for that occasional use.
...
Well you can actually renew on your same plan even after November, if you don' want to change. It doesn't really sound like it would have a huge affect on you either way though. Your occasional get it now use is going to use minutes presently. On the new plans it'll be bill at 1.99/MB rounded up at the end of the month. Occasional use probably won't notice anything huge. VZ Navigator isn't going to use data and doesn't use minutes so it doesn't matter there. (It does use data or minutes for the initial download of the application, but not for use.)
...
Just to clarify the line I'd be losing would prolly be an "easy move". Also if you download an app like weatherbug would you get charged data to USE (I know you charged to download) that? I know you would get zapped browsing get it know for apps and searching for/downloading ring tones.
Thanks again for the input

Im a little confused when you say an app like weatherbug. I dont know of a weatherbug for phones.
...
on my 8100 I had a weather app I thought it was called weatherbug...in anycase you could view local weather radar and the like with it. A big help on the little league and football feilds with the kids to see what coming.
...
if you stay on ACII, nothing changes...I would suggest that.

It really dose not matter, you will save 4 dollers on the navigter download if you do it know. You will only be charged for the navigator when you download it, after that it is free ( uses minutes-I think I am so lost right know it is rediculous.) It uses minutes right know anyway. So what I would say, is do it when you are ready, just remember, you will be grandfathered in to your plan if you do not want to change. Sorry about the spelling and grammer. I am going to school right know and my brain is really turning to mush

Thanks for all the help. I think since I can move to a lower minute plan with one less line and get an employee discount, I'll renew this month and stay with America's Choice. (it's my understanding that if you downgrade your plan you have to sign a new contract.)
Thanks again.
...
if you just downgrade your plan, but do not replace equipment, no contarct extension...
...
Did not know that. Thanks.

The changes in the plans are not actually that earth-shattering. They aren't even enough for Verizon to retrain their customer service employees on.
